This past Saturday, Monadnock speedway opened their gates for the traditional Bond Auto Parts Spring Dash 100 featuring the Valenti Modified Racing Series and the speedway’s weekly NASCAR Whelen All American Racing Series divisions.

With a full house the first 15 lap feature event of the night begins with the Young Guns. These kids displayed true sportsmanship and an interesting event for the night. Right off the line Chase Curtis led the way in the caution free race as Alex Barden and Shelby Avery started their battle for that second position. The battle continued until Barden took 2nd position and Avery fell right in behind for 3rd. The top 5 finishers were Curtis, Barden, Avery, Peabody and Chloe Wright, respectively. Bella Minchella suffered mechanical problems and did not start the race.

On to the 20 lap Lightning Stocks feature event. Pat Houle started on the pole with Mike Stebbins on the outside. Stebbins fought hard for the lead right from the start and took over on lap 3. Houle did not give up and continued to battle for that lead spot. Stephen Fucile went off on lap 5 causing no caution as the race continued with Stebbins still in the lead. Houle fell back and as the top three were Stebbins, Leblanc and Richard Whipple on lap 12. The Mini Stock 20 lap feature was led out by Solomon Brow with Mike McGoldrick Jr. on the outside. Three laps were completed and the yellow flew for a crash in turns 3 and 4 as McGoldrick Jr. and Ethan Marsh went to the back of the pack for the caution. Brow kept a safe lead over defending champion Eric Pomasko and Matt Kimball. With one to go Brow laps Bill Lambert and brings home the win for Slade & Brow Roofing Team. As the sun started to set the Thunder Stocks come roaring out on the track. Starting on the pole was Matt Robinson, his first trip to Monadnock Speedway, with Paul Barnard on the outside. Robinson took the green with Barnard and Craig Chaffee right behind him. With a quick swoop Barnard took the lead on lap 2 as Chaffee goes around on turn 4 causing the first caution. Under review, Robinson helped Chaffee along and they both would have to restart in the back. On the restart Barnard, Vincent, and Paul Smith go three wide into turn 1. Barnard and Vincent fought for the lead in lap 7 with Paul Smith right behind them. Vincent tried to take the lead on lap 12 but Barnard shut him down. Nose to nose, James Nowakowski and Smith battle for the 3rd position. On lap 16 Smith spins in turns 1 and 2 bringing out the second caution tonight. With less than 5 laps to go they had a single file restart. One lap after restart Vincent bumped Barnard on the front stretch bringing out caution number 3. They both go to the rear and off for another single file restart putting the Nowakowski in the lead. At the end, the top five finisher; Nowakowski, Dan Comeau, Jason Kozacka, Paul Smith, and Matt Robinson.

The Sportsmans Modifieds hit the track as Keith Carzello held the pole with Tyler Jarvenpaa on the outside. Rookie Geoff Rollins spun on lap 4 with no caution resulting. Curtis tried for the lead position, but Monahan was able to hold him off. On lap 9 Curtis gets that lead position. The first caution came on lap 10. Curtis and Stange were 1 and 2 on the restart.
