Unfortunately, summer rain storms led to the postponement of tonight’s racing action at Bowman Gray Stadium. The racing will be back with a vengeance one week later – Saturday, May 28 – with the Whelen Sportsman 100 and Street Stock 50 presented by 94.5 WPTI Your News, Talk & Sports Station.
These will be the big ones: The Yates Grading & Paving Sportsman Series has 100 laps on the schedule, with the Q104.1 New Country Street Stock Series racing in their annual 50-lapper. Both divisions will qualify for position and both will use the infamous double-file restart rule. The Brad’s Golf Cars Modified Series will battle in twin 25-lap races, with the McDowell Heating & Air Stadium Stock Series racing in two 15-lappers.
