Showers in the morning and forecasts for afternoon and evening rain have forced Wall Stadium Speedway officials to cancel the auto racing events scheduled for Saturday night (July 9). Saturday night auto racing will resume in one week on July 16.
When racing action returns on July 16 the third mile paved oval will host “Pack the Track” night with a special discounted admission price of just $10 for adults and $5 for students aged 7 to 17. Kids 6 and under are always free.
On the speedway seven feature races will be presented with the O’Shea’s Auto Repair Factory Stocks competing in three 25-lappers, the Green Flag Driving Experience Legend Cars racing in two 25-lappers, the Snap On Sportsman cars racing in a 30-lap main event and the Elite Maintenance Limited Late Models batting in a 25-lapper.
Grandstands will open at 5:00 p.m., qualifying is set for 5:45 p.m. with main events for all divisions to follow at approximately 7:00 p.m.
The 50-lap Sportsman race slated for Saturday night (July 9) will be rescheduled for later in the season.
Wall Stadium presents professional motorsports events on Saturdays and Sundays through September with special post-season races in October and November. The speedway is located on Route 34 in Wall Township, N.J., just one mile north of Garden State Parkway exit 98 and Interstate 195 exit 35B.
