Showers and thunderstorms that started in the afternoon have forced Wall Stadium Speedway officials to cancel the auto racing events scheduled for Saturday night (July 16). Saturday night auto racing will resume in one week on July 23.
When racing action returns on July 23 the third mile paved oval will host “NAPA Night” racing action. On the paved oval speedway The Downs Ford Modifieds will lead the way in a 40-lap main event, while the Surf Side Collision 4 Cylinder Stocks compete in a 40-lapper, the O’Shea’s Auto Repair Factory Stocks battle in a 25-lapper and the Green Flag Driving Experience Legend Cars race in a 25-lap main event. A race for drivers over 40 years old using Legend Cars will also be presented.
Grandstands will open at 5:00 p.m., qualifying is set for 5:45 p.m. with main events for all divisions to follow at approximately 7:00 p.m.
The 50-lap Sportsman race slated for Saturday night (July 9) will be rescheduled for later in the season.
Wall Stadium presents professional motorsports events on Saturdays and Sundays through September with special post-season races in October and November. The speedway is located on Route 34 in Wall Township, N.J., just one mile north of Garden State Parkway exit 98 and Interstate 195 exit 35B.
