In an effort to help cool things down a bit this Saturday, July 23, Mahoning Valley Speedway will be pushing back their start time to 7:00 pm.
For those wishing to come out for early paid practice the pit gates will open at 12:30. Paid practice will take place from 1:00 – 4:00.
Regular warm-ups will get underway at 5:30. The grandstand gates will open at 5:00 pm. Heat races will start at 7:00 pm.
Saturday’s race line-up will be headlined by the Third Annual Bob “Heavy” Scherer Memorial. The race, which is twin 50 lappers for the Modifieds, pays $1800 to win each.
The winner of the second 50-lapper will be awarded a guaranteed starting spot for the 66th Annual Race of Champions 250 at Oswego Speedway on September 15-17, 2016.
Also on the card this Saturday will be Late Models, Street Stocks, Dirt Mods, Pro 4s and Hobby Stocks plus Kids Big Wheels at intermission.
Adult front gate admission is $22. There is a $2 discount for students, seniors 65+ and active Military.
