Racing returns to its regular Saturday night start time of 6:30 p.m. on August 13, which is Fan Appreciation Night and Wing Night with the return of the winged Can-Am TQ Midgets.

On Saturday, August 20 Lancaster National Speedway will host one of its most prestigious events with the 27th running of the Tommy Druar/Tony Jankowiak Memorial Modified 110 for the Race of Champions Modified Series. Defending race winner, Patrick Emerling, already has a Modified win and four Sportsman wins at Lancaster in 2016.

The whirlwind August schedule concludes on August 27 with Big Rig Night presented by Peterbilt Buffalo and Hunter Truck Sales. CDL license holders will only pay $5 for grandstand general admission that night, which is also the next-to-last event of the regular season.

These four Saturdays in August will separate the contenders from the pretenders in the 2016 chase for Lancaster National Speedway's track championships. Sunoco Sportsman opening day feature winner Jake Lyon of Elma, N.Y. currently leads the division standings and has finished second in the last two features. Lyon has a 17-point lead over Tommy Catalano. Billy Burd is two points behind Catalano in third.

In the Advance Auto Parts Street Stocks, Dave Wilson is on top of the points thanks to three feature wins. He is ahead of second place Tommy Wentland by 87 points. Since Wilson's last win, however, the division has had three-straight weeks of first time winners in Eric Brown, Lou Carbone and Andy Cryan.

Kevin Bainbridge is dominating the Roaming Buffalo 4-Cylinders this season with six feature wins and a big lead in the standings of 137 points over Chris Pennell.

The division champions will be crowned on September 10, which ends the regular season. However, get ready for even more racing action when the US Open takes place with three days of racing from Friday, Sept. 23 to Sunday, Sept 25.
