The Hobby Stocks will be headlined in a special 35-lap/$400-to-win feature.

Racing begins at 6:00 pm with heats and following intermission, which will see Kids Big Wheels in action, the main events will then roll out. The Modifieds will contest with a 35 lap feature, 30 laps will be the distance for the Street Stocks and 25 circuits respectively for the Late Models and Dirt Mods.

Adult general admission is $12. There is a $2 discount for students, seniors 65+ and active Military. Warm-ups will get underway at 4:00 with grandstands open the same time. For those who wish to partake in early paid practice pits will open at 11:30 am with track time beginning at 12:30.

In other news track officials have announced that Saturday, October 8 will be the date of the rescheduled Small Car Enduro that was originally slated to be held this coming Saturday.

The date change was made in a collaborated effort with the JeffreyHogueRealtor.com Action Track USA on the Kutztown Fairgrounds which is holding an Enduro that same night.

The October 8 event will be a big one for the small cars. Mahoning Valley will proudly award $1000 to the winner of the Small Car Enduro provided 50 or more cars are signed-in on race day.

How about this…If the pits reach 70 cars for the Small Car Enduro then the first place earnings go to $1500. And, if 80 or more are on hand then the winner’s take goes to a whopping $2000! Those numbers will also reflect on the positions being paid as well which is to be determined shortly.

That same payout will also be offered to the winner of the Jr. Enduro race, which is on the docket that day.

The price to enter the October 8 Small Car and Jr. Enduros is $50 per car which includes the transponder. However, pre-entry is $40 if received by October 1.

Small Car Enduro rules can be found on the Mahoning Valley speedway website at http://www.mahoningvalley-speedway.com/uploads/1/1/8/6/11865016/small_car_enduro_2013_ver_2.0.pdf

Additionally, there will be a Big and Small Car Demo Derby on the program. This will be the first time since the late 1990s that a Demolition Derby is taking place at the track. The Demo Derby’s will be held on the infield.

If 20 or more cars are entered in each division the disbursement will be $800 to win, $400 for second and $200 for third. Heats will pay $100 to the winner.

If there are features only with no heats run the winner’s share will be $600 with $300 and $150 respectively for second and third.

The Big Car Demo rules will follow that of the West End Fair while the Small Car Demo rules will be the same as those applied at the recent Carbon County Fair. However, ALL Demo cars must have the fuel cell and battery mounted and secured behind the driver’s compartment and conform to proper safety regulations.

A printable pre-entry form with complete payouts will be posted on the track’s website or entrants can also register at the track anytime during the upcoming weeks of racing.

A 4:00 pm start time is planned for October 8.
