View Full Version : 06/06/17 - Factory Stock Triple 25’s & Modifieds headline Wall Stadium races Saturday

The always popular O’Shea’s Auto Repair Factory Stocks in Triple 25 lap main events and the powerful Freehold Ford Modified stock cars in a 40-lapper will headline pro auto racing events this Saturday night (June 10) at Wall Stadium Speedway. Grandstands will open at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, qualifying is set for 5:45 p.m. with main events for all divisions to follow.

On the third mile paved oval the Factory Stock racers will not only enjoy three main events but also a $25 bonus to the fastest car in each feature race and a $100 bonus to the driver who posts the best finishing average. Two-time early season feature winner Joey Helberg of Union will lead the way and will see tough competition from two-time and defending champion Joe Mongeau of Brick, former champ Scott Riggleman of Manchester and Bayville’s Elliott Wohl, among many others.

The Freehold Ford Modifieds will battle in a 40-lap main event led by early season winners Jimmy Blewett of Howell and Holmdel’s Andrew Krause. Shanon Mongeau of Manchester, Brick’s Ron Frees, defending champ Steven Reed of Jackson, former champ Chas Okerson of Freehold and Derek Hopkinson of Toms River will be among those looking to grab their first win of the year.

Both the Snap-On Sportsman cars and the Elite Maintenance Limited Late Models are also set for 25-lappers.

Celebrating the racing card with an “Under the Sea” theme, the speedway refreshment stands will offer seafood specials including Bang Bang Shrimp and a Clam Boat with Fries. In addition fans will be able to test their throwing arms as several of the speedway’s top drivers will take a turn in the “Dump Tank” during the evening.

Pit gates will open at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday; with practice starting at 3:00 p.m. Grandstands will open at 5:00 p.m. and qualifying is then set for 5:45 p.m. Main events for all divisions to follow.

Wall Stadium presents professional motorsports events on Saturdays and Sundays through September with special post-season races in October and November. The speedway is located on Route 34 in Wall Township, N.J., just one mile north of Garden State Parkway exit 98 and Interstate 195 exit 35B.
