Exciting stock car racing will take center stage on the speedway and community heroes will be honored in the grandstands as Wall Stadium Speedway presents “First Responders Night” this Saturday (July 8). On the track four racing divisions will compete in five main events while in the grandstands the men and women who serve our community in police forces, fire companies and rescue squads will be admitted to the spectator area free of charge with proper identification. For these squads the night will also be BYOR – “bring your own rig” – as township rigs are welcomed for display.

Grandstand seating will open at 5:00 p.m. and qualifying is set for 5:45 p.m. The evening’s main event action will follow around 7:00 p.m.

On the famous third mile high-banked paved oval the Freehold Ford Modifieds will be in the spotlight in twin 35-lap main events. Defending champion Steven Reed of Jackson will lead the way with expected competition coming from recent “Garden State Classic” winner Jimmy Blewett of Howell, Andrew Krause of Holmdel, Manchester’s Shanon Mongeau, Derek Hopkinson of Toms River and Jason Hearne of New Egypt just to name a few.

The Snap On Sportsman cars will also be featured in a 25-lap feature race. The O’Shea’s Auto Repair Factory Stocks and the Green Flag Driving Experience Legend Cars will each compete in a 25-lap feature race.

Saturday’s schedule will see the competitor pit area open at 1:00 p.m. Regular practice will start at 3:00 p.m., while spectator seating will open at 5:00 p.m. Qualifying for the night’s program starts at 5:45 p.m. and main events will follow at 7:00 p.m.
