I just got my Hands on an early 90's 4cyl, 2 door cavalier. can someone tell me if this is a good 4cyl enduro car? This is my first time out and i would like to know if anyone used these cars, and if so, how they performed

Also, I need to know how much it is total to race, and since I'm under 18, what I need to sign and if my parents need to sign it also.

The entry fee is $45 including the pit pass. There is some sort of minors release, I think the speedway office could help you with that. Way back when I was a steady enduro competitor, I used to figure on $100 per race between entry, scorer, gas (tow vehicle and race car), and the stop at Fishermans Deli.(on rte. 24. They have enough parking for five tow rigs nose to tail no sweat)
Given that everything has gotten more expensive, I don't think $150 for the day is unrealistic.
As far as the car, don't worry too much. Gut it, chain/weld the doors, flush out the antifreeze, get yourself two full size spares, and go have some fun.

In place of antifreeze do i just put water?

The chemical,or 'substitute' for antifreeze, which works well is 'water wetter'. Select Auto repair places have it,it works good.

Gee while we are talking about that, get the highest pressure radiator cap you can find. Without getting too deep into the how and why, it will help keep the radiator from boiling over. Mind you if something "bad" happens, it is going to overheat regardless.
