I would have to say the Nissan 200SX. After see them run in many races against hundreds of different cars, they are quick and they handle well....I would buy one if I was going to race. One nice perk is they are rear wheel drive.

The 200sx has 4-wheel independent suspension and large 15" rims/tires which make it handle well......................
The honda powerplants are dependable and accelerate quickly................. :p
The ford probes/mazda 626's are powerful motors and handle fairly well................ :)
The chrysler/mitsubishi cars make a lot of power and handle OK............... :D
I've even seen some 4-cyl. GM cars do well..................
But bottom line, usually, is how well the car is prepared and WHO's driving, hehe.....................

Power-to-weight ratio is important.
The way a car gets around a corner is key also.
Durabaility and crashability should be factored in.
Mike Odwazny's 200SX has been fast also...So they must be good cars.
I agree with R.P. .... The guys who are turning the wrenches AND the steering wheel are the MOST important factors of all.

Saturns are ok, but I find it funny when they get hit and instead of denting, the fenders just fall off in pieces, lol! :applause:

Nissan Sentra! It looked like a little shoebox but it got the job done.

Which reminds me; Christian or Jeff owes me some pictures of what was left of that car. :D

Don't feel bad, Gravel, so do I...and the scariest part is, typing is a big part of my regular job...when you've been doing it long enough, you can actually get pretty quick!

Best fwds...Eagle, Eclipse or Talon. Best rwd seen so far ...Nissan 240sx.
Best American car would be the Cavalier with the good motor.

How does an RX-7 fit in here? I've seen a few out there and they are extremely fast. Since they are a twin rotary engine, and there are 3 "chambers" per rotor, wouldn't they technically be a 6 cylinder?
