Big Purse + Big Time Racing = modified ‘Big Dog 100'

Open wheel fans and modified drivers all over the eastern coast are ranting and raving about the upcoming ‘Big Dog 100' modified showdown on Sunday, August 21 st at Mountain Speedway.

The heavy purse ($3,000 to win and big money from 2 nd on back) and no car registration fee may have helped many drivers with making the decision to tour the 1/3 rd mile, as many preliminary registrations are pouring in from drivers, including with a slue of track champions and other open wheel pilots from across the eastern seaboard who are trying to make a name for themselves.

The race in itself should be a history-making event, as cars will qualify through heat and consi races, not time trials.

Also on the card for the evening are the exciting street stocks and thrillers.

Come on out and enjoy this side-by-side, door-to-door racing spectacular. Don't forget to bring the kids out for a chance to win one of two free bicycles, courtesy of Mountain Speedway drivers, sponsors and staff. Just remember one thing, beware of the dogs!

Mountain Speedway will let the dogs out for their first 12-lap heat race at 5 PM. Grandstand admission prices are $15 for adults, $10 seniors/child 7-10; children under 7 are admitted free.
