:) How many mods do you think Mt Spepedway will get this Sunday for their big dog 100? I would say about anywhere between 20-25? Any thoughts anyone? kinserfan11

I am going to guess 30 to 35. How many cars will make the field?

No faith in promotion Kinserfan??? or are you expecting rain?
I'm with jm31....I'd say 35 or more. We have commitments from 44 teams and you know what happens there....some will not come and some that did not commit will.

I remember when Evergreen ran a big mod show and that how many showed up? Maybe I am wrong this time; but really depends on how many cars are wrecked Sat. niGHt at Mahoning for the RoC race? I am hoping over 30!!! kinserfan11 :) :)

Geez, I had 28 Mods at my Mod 50 last year....26 or so at the '04 KOTM...25 or 6 at the special earlier this year...I would at least expect 10 more at a show of this caliber. We've been averaging 15-19 for our regular shows.
I just hope the weather co-operates....and MVS isn't a demo derby. I just recieved an email from Joe Martinelli, owner of the #22 Mod team....new driver, Zane Zeiner will be piloting the old Jim Long ride Sunday.

The more the better...My prediction is that MVS will wash out, and Sunday morning there will be a whole bunch of Mods waiting to get in. Sunday early afternoon, we will see a couple of showers then sun. Dry the track and turn 'em loose. :D

Well...I do not want to wish MVS bad luck with the weather...I just hope they get it in with no wrecked cars. That would be a great weekend of racing for the avid Mod fan.

I never want to wish anyone bad luck with the weather. After all, racing is racing, no matter what track you do it at.
On another note, it was a year yesterday that the Modified racing community lost a great one...Tom Baldwin Sr.,...

How is the weather looking for Sunday's Big Dog 100? I wonder if any of the Nascar :) mod tour regulars will make the trip because their last race this past thursday in Stafford? I just checkED the www.weather.com and it says mostly sunny; high 84 and no rain!!!! Also, no rain at niGHt either!!! :) :) kinserfan11

I have 2 ideas for the running of a big modified show at the Mountain.
#1 Give a bonus of some type to any modified driver who enters at least 3 weeks early, so you can use them when advertising. Maybe a Gift certificate, price break on their entry fee, or extra money on top of their purse. That way, you can let fans know who to look for.
# 2 Why no lap money if you charge 10 bucks? With all of the different leaders on Sunday, there would have been a little extra money to go around. Can anybody tell me what the format is for the King of the Mountain weekend and how many laps is the Modified feature? LOL
