Good Luck to Donny Lia

Donny Lia will be running at the Bristol Motor Speedway tomorrow night. He is running a Hooters Pro Cup Race for the Hagans Racing Team. This is Hagans Racings first Hooters Pro Cup start. They presently field cars in the ARCA/Remax Series for Joey Miller, who is 2nd in points to Frank Kimmel. Donny told me his crew cheif, Pat Donahue, has worked with Jeff Gordon, Brian Vickers, and Robby Gordon. He also had a lot of help learning about Bristol, from Truck Series driver Matt Crafton. Donny says they have all brand new equipment and the #91 is super fast. We should all be proud of this kid, who got his start running Legends cars at our little 1/4 mile oval. Good Luck to Donny Lia, win, lose, or draw, we are all proud of you.

Donny had a decent practice going, and hit the wall. They are trying to make repairs so he can get out for qualifying. Bob & Matt Dilner's Speed 51 will have updates all day.

Just read on Speed 51, that the wreck Donny was in in practice happened due to the motor blowing. He spun in his own oil and backed it into the fence, the damage was too extensive and he did not attempt to qualify. I say keep at it Donny Lia, better luck next time out.
