If you can make it there in 10 hours, thats awesome time!!!!! [ I agree with Sal above] Took me over that a couple of years ago to go to Northern Georgia for 3 day stay then to Martinsville for the Mod Tour Race. By the way, if you can ever make a Tour race @ Martinsville, GO!!!!! With the track like a large aluminum bowl, the mods are amplified and every seat an amazing view. I just wish I had the camera I have now and not the cheapo one I had when I was there!!!! Have a safe trip and enjoy the race....

I have been going to Kingsport, Tenn every year for the last 11 years, a week after the race in Bristol and it takes me 11 1/2 hours and Bristol is only about 10 miles from where I go. I don't know how you are going, but I take 495 to the BQE to the Verrazano Bridge, then take 278 to 287 (440 Outer Bridge) to 78, then I-78 West to I-81 South. Once on I-81 South, it is a straight shot down to the Bristol exit. Once out of N.Y., most of the time the speed limit is 65-70, so it is a good ride. Have a good trip and enjoy the races.

I usually leave between 3 & 3:30 am, 4 at the latest. At that hour it is clear sailing all the way through the city and it is still early afternoon when I get there.
