For those that didn't see the earlier post, there is a special Hampton Jitney bus trip planned for the Walt DeMorris Memorial Challenge. The bus leaves early Saturday morning, October 22nd, returning the same night. Refreshments are provided on the bus, as well as someone to serve coffee, juice, etc. The cost is $40 per person. That does not include the cost of the race tickets, which will be available at Mountain's ticket booth.
Almost the entire Late Model division is planning on making the trip; one of them even foregoing his normal trip to Thompson to attend. This is a way to pay tribute to a man who supported the Late Model division for years, when he was able to get away from his work schedule and buy new tires. He helped anyone in the pits who asked for his help, and always had a big smile on his face.
We need a minimum of 25 people to make this trip happen. Should we not have the minimum amount of people needed, all checks will be returned.
