A few weeks ago the Suffolk Legislature made some noise about arresting participents in illegal street racing and confiscating thier vehicles. Well this popped up in my news filter today:

Note that it is off of the AP wire. I wonder if it was just a slow news day or the lack of a safe place to race is slowly becoming news worthy. Or I am looking at it the wrong way (typically the case) and its just a good hot button topic showing "get tough" law enforcement which will get somebody reelected or what not.

I went to the Legislative Meeting that had the bill that Leg. Cooper was proposing with regards to arresting and seizing illegal street racing. The bill was table. The Suffolk County District Attorney's office asked for it to be table so that they could do a staffing study. I don't know when it will be back on.
