I have not seen anything on the Jam about next year's Nextel Cup. So Here it is, My Prediction and hopes go with Martin Truex Jr., #1 Nextel car. Even though I feel he will make it into the top 10, maybe not all the way to #1 spot. I picked Jimmy Johnson for this year's champion... oh well, off by a little???

I'd watch Denny Hamlin in the #11. He looks VERY talented.

I'm looking for Jr to rebound from a crappy season to be in the chase-looking for Jimmy J, Carl Edwards, Jeff Gordon, Jr, & "Mr Pole Position", Ryan Newman to be the top 5 (not necessarliy in that order though).

I'll take Truex for Rookie Of the Year, and how about the old man in the AAA #6 riding off into the sunset with a title? :)

I'll take Jeff Gordon for #5. Don't beat up on me now. Been a fan since the beginning.

Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Carl Edwards, Tony Stewart and Greg Biffle are my top 5 predictions.. may not be in that order. I don't like Stewart or Biffle but I think they will be up there.

It Will Be Interesting To See What McMurray Does Next Season...I'd Like To See Him In Top 5.

Can't wait to see the following:

Schrader in good equipment with a real crew chief for a change
Bobby Labonte in the Petty 43
Elliot Sadler and his new crew chief Tommy Baldwin
Mikey over at Bill Davis in the 55

Champion will be Kurt Busch (not a big fan) but they have the best of everything and now a young driver out to prove a point after a bad end to his season. I think they will be tough to beat.

I'd like to see Carl Edwards take the gold in '06 but I fear the sophmore jinx. I'll be pulling for Smoke again, and all the underdogs. That's old school.

Well, I like this. I'm going with my top 5 drivers as follows (not in this order)Jr, Stewart, Truex (ROTY), Gordon (ouch, that hurt), Johnson.

My prediction is that one of the drivers (insert your most hated driver's name here) will be right in the thick of the point battle at the end of the 26th point race. However, he will miss the 10-race "playoff" by one point because NASCAR docks him 25 points for saying the word "(insert profane word of choice here)".

Then of course, he will blame NASCAR for the fine and/or points loss, the annoying media that broadcast the word "(insert profane word of choice here)", complain about the team that unfairly suspends him, and wonder why his sponsor no longer wants him to represent their company! After all, as a professional athlete, he certainly has no idea that the microphone stuck in front of his face actually carries the word "(insert profane word of choice here)" to the public, does he?

Am I being too cynical again? Nah...
