The great Intimidator

As you all know, today marks the 5th anniversary since the world tragically lost Dale Earnhardt at Daytona. Take some time today to reflect upon some of your greatest memories of The Intimidator (mine happens to be when he ran the 24hr race and was out there, in the rain, going full tilt, passing everything in sight saying, "whee, this is fun"). Make sure you put on something today to show your love & respect of the man and remember this evening to light a candle, hell light 3 candles, in memory of him. Dale, you may be gone :*-( but your impact on the racing world will be forever felt. :applause: :applause: :applause:

my greatest memory of Dale was when he won the 1998 Daytona 500 and seeing the respect he got from all of the other crew members and drivers. Dale will forever be a legend and the memories of him will going forever.

Everything is different now. He would have spoken out against most of the stupid things* NASCAR does now. We never realized what an influence he had until he wasn't here anymore. :( (*Don't ask, too numerous to list!)
