Is a special program needed to see this??? I've tried twice and get a blank page, with red 'x' boxes instead of whatever picture should be there.

As to it being an ideal location for a commercial business, the property is to narrow to be attractive as anything but what it is, a racetrack, which it will be for some time to come. Any industrial application would require them to build way in the back, since the property in front would be needed for parking and access roads. I can't believe all the ridiculous rumors that get started about what might happen to a property that by itself isn't suited to commercial use, outside of what it is. JMO

Agreed there Walt-until we see the "for sale" sign on Carl's, nothing can be done with that property other than what it is alleady being used for. As for that map site, I have problems, too, trying to get a picture-either that or the shot was taken when it was very very foggy.

Worked for me. I wonder when the image is from. The pits are empty! No old buses or leftover demo cars. I haven't been by the 'head since Sept. so for all I know they did clean it up.

Couldn't be more wrong. This is the location where Lowes is going to be, ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE TRACK! next to Applebee's. So no worries people, outline of where it will be in the picture.

I don't know if all the pictures are the same age but I checked my old address and the picture was atleast a year and a half old. Brought back memories.

I am not sure why some people can view the image, and others are getting garbage. I will look into it.
And the pictures are at least a year old. I am judging by my home as well, so that would be my guess. And the pictures had to have been taken at the end of March, first part of April.

Could it be tied to a program, like Google Earth is? I could put up a link from something on Google Earth, but people without the main program wouldn't be able to see it. This may be the same situation.

I was able to view...and I think this is at least a couple of years old. When I zoom out the trees are all still there and they were cut down when? It is a nice view of everyone's home from April to September.... :)

I was able to view it also :applause: and I know it's at least a few of years old. If you zoom IN, click on the picture and drag the mouse down Route 58, (slowly and wait for pictures to come up) around by the traffic circle, you'll see Target and Home Depot isn't in the picture, just the farms that they took over. How long have they been there?

The pictures are full of bad spelling and no punctuation. Some peoples computers won't download that.

Funny thing, I tried putting "Riverhead Raceway, Riverhead, NY" into Google Earth. It gave me 2 locations: Riverhead Raceway, Copaigue, and Trailer Transport, Westbury. Did I miss something over the Winter, LOL!!!?
I even spelled it right.
