Themed parties in 2006?

NEETS is well known for it's free (before or after race) parties. We all have a great time but even so.....we all get used to this. I say let's kick it up a notch and get some themes going here for some of the parties. For example I started the karaoke deal at the last party and will do a segment of it at other parties from time to time. The "inside" parties can be song type themed as in maybe a "country" night where people wear their best boots/hats/chaps or whatever and I'll play country music all night. We can throw straw around the floor and maybe have some kind of country food. Others may be a "50s Rock and Roll" night....or an "Oldies" 60/70s night. A "Disco: night?
OK Now...what about the "outside" parties. This is where it can be major fun. We should keep doing different games, but let's add a theme to it. What about a "TOGA" party? Can you imagine the pictures, hehe....or a pajama party!
Can you think of any other ideas or themes for our in or out parties?

So far I got the best feedback on Country and 50's for the inside parties. For the outside parties...Beach, Pajama and Toga. The party coming this week will just be a normal one because of the short notice but starting w/ the next one at the end of April we will add the "themes".
Let's start w/ "Country" for that one!!!
1. The music naturally will be 99% country
2. We can dress in country style (cowboy hats, boots, etc).
3. The place may be decorated a little.
4. A little country Karaoke session
5. The food can be country themed
6. Can you think of anything else?

Memorial Day party....50's themed
1. All same as above but with a 50's Rock and Roll theme

July "Outside" Pajama Party sleepover
1. Top 40 music
2. Pajama attire
3. BBQ + everybody bring a food item
4. Sleepover Games and contests

July (second one) Beach Party BLINGO
1. Top 40/California type beach music
2. Swimwear attire (Please no thongs for the guys, hehe)
3. We'll have a Luau? (Loo-wow)
4. Funny Bathing suit contest
5. Beach Games and contests

September.....TOGA, TOGA, TOGA
1. College type rock and roll, Blues Bros. music
2. TOGA attired (insulated Toga's will be allowed if cold, hehe)
3. Best TOGA's will be crowned King/Queen
4. Toga Games and contests

Then we'll be back to the "Inside parties". If you have any ideas, send them to me or post here. How about party game or contest ideas too. let's make these as fun as possible.
