Honor his memory

I was thinking that a good way to honor the memory of Racin Rich would be to donate to a charity in his honor, or to his family, since I believe we don't yet have a charity set up for 4/29. I believe that would be a good time to do that, or rename the big cars Spring spectacular race after him. These are just ideas that I thought I would throw out there. I don't want anyone to get mad at me for posting this so soon, but I really think he deserves to have a race or something named after him. Rich, we will remember you forever. :wave: :*-(

What about making vinyl decals we can put on our cars with his name and # on them. Maybe you could get them donated and charge a donation fee of $5.00 or so to go to his charity in his honor?

I was thinking about the decals also, I am going to check around and see what I can do, but there are not many places like that around me.

I've read on LongIslandJam that the charity would be The Victory Junction Gang, in his name. The decal sounds like a good idea, and maybe hand them out at the races, or even get them ordered on the websites, with the 5$ fee for a donation going to The Victory Junction Gang.

One of my sponsors owns a vinyl graphics shop. I know I'm still an outsider to this group, but I'm willing to have decals made in a couple colors. Just let me know.

FIRST...Let's just get through this week and I will announce my plans for something special for Rich and family. It will take place on our Memorial day event.
Everything will be posted on here as it is organized.

I would like to have the stickers for the next event if anyone is willing to do them.

I would like to propose to NEETS that they retire Racin Rich's # 1 and add 1 lap to each race they run in his honor.

Well, one thing I can tell you that is certain is that the number is retired. I spoke to Billy about that already and he felt the same way, so that is already done.

The additional 1 lap to each race isn't a bad idea, but Billy has some races with lap numbers assigned for certain reasons...for instance, 104 on the 4th of July... It's not a bad idea though...I'm sure Billy will consider it! :D

Well, the end of May race there is 1 less lap than normal. There are only 99 laps, instead of 100.

yes... that is the race Rich won last year, so in honor of Rich, the race will be run with 1 down...
