I read somewhere (but can't remember where) that Partridge gave the car to Jimmy and Jimmy gave the clock to Partridge. Not sure if it is true, but if it is, that's a pretty cool swap.

It is absolutely true. :p I reported it, as I was standing there when it actually took place, in the pressbox after the race. I've never seen or heard of such a thing happening before, and I think it was a very special moment for both Ed and Jimmy. They both wanted this win badly, to honor the memory of Charlie Jarzombek, since Ed was on Charlie's crew at Martinsville when C.J. crashed there. :) :) :)

I asked Eddie this morning at work who got the clock and he said Jimmy got the clock.

I know I heard Jimmy offer it, I guess Ed declined. As Walt Newcomb said to me later, the clock is the best prize in racing. I'd have to agree. It's something you'll have a very long time.
