Matt Kenseth will win the 2006 NEXTEL Cup, to go along with his 2003 Winston Cup championship, his 2004 IROC championship, and his 2000 Winston Cup Rookie of the Year. (oops, am I allowed to say "Winston")?????

Maybe he'll finally get the respect he deserves.

I predict the Nextel Cup champion will be...... the guy who leaves Homestead with more points than everyone else! Seriously, I'd bet on either 29 or 6....

Going out on a limb and I'm saying Jeff Burton (although my heart says JR). Looking at the basic make up of the participants, I'm going with one of the 2 in the hunt that is not known for using his bumper to get where he wants to(the other being Mark Martin). :applause:

Any chance of getting in on this action for the "sackfull"??

I think Harvick's going to take both the Busch, and the NASCAR Championships.

Gawd, Burton as champ, that will be the worst thing for Nascar. ugh, as least for me. I rather watch paint dry, it be more interesting and much more exciting then hear him speak............or whine! lol

sackfull, I hate Whitecastles, castles in general are kinda spooky looking and cold. I rather not live in one, must be damp, no insultation.lol

J.A. just trying to get me back for having to buy me a milkshake when Dan Turbush won a truck race, it maybe a second one! Vanilla J.A.!

I say the 9 team they have won at 4 of the last 10 tracks, Go Kasey Khane. I wouldn't be shocked if Jeff Gordon won it either.

Don't Count The Rookie Out. JD Might Have Something Up His Sleeve For The Last 10 races. But The Guy I Am Wanting To See Win Is Mark Martin. He Can't Retire As The Best Driver To Never Win A Cup.

Thanks W.J I was thinking it was a driver, and I couldn't figure out who it would be, but JD Gibbs makes a ton of sense.

i think the #9 is on fire . but i would not dispute jg making it 5 champ titles. and if i was going to pick a rookie, it would be a very tuff decision. the 5 was no slouch this year. but the 11 was showing a nice effort all year too. tuff choices... i would like to see the 6 take a title before hanging it up. bottom line is they are all champion material. as long as the racing is good is all i care about. good luck to all !

Seeing the #6 get the championship would be fitting for the sport, having the #8 as champion would bring back Intimidating memories  which I would love to see again,but...the fire inside the #29 R.C.R. car is my pick ;)
