Biggest Purse of the Season For Mountain’s 7th Annual “King of the Mountain”

Mountain Speedway’s running of the 7th annual “King of the Mountain” will take place on the weekend of October 7th & 8th. With National Auto Exchange as the main sponsor, along with Balliet’s Country Corners, Specialized Vehicle Services, Balliet-Toole, Incorporated, C&D Landscaping and Whitenight’s Auto Body as associate sponsors, the largest purse of the season will be paid to all divisions.

All regular weekly divisions will hit the pavement Saturday (October 7th) for time trials, where the top fifteen fastest qualifiers will be locked in for Sunday’s (October 8th) main events. All non-qualifiers and racers who don’t attempt to qualify will compete in consi races on Sunday to determine the remaining five qualifying spots, as twenty cars will start each feature.
The winner of Sunday’s 150-lap modified showdown will take home $4,000. Second will pick up $2,000 and third will score $1,000. The minimum payout for taking the green flag in the 150-lap feature is $250. The winner of the 75-lap late model feature will pick up $1,000 and $750 is on the line for the winner of the 50-lap street stock event. There will also be a 40-lapper for the thrillers with $400 going to the victor and $300 on the line for the winner in the four-cylinder thriller division.

Weekend registration for each driver is: $150 for modifieds, $100 for late models, $75 for street stock, $65 for thrillers and $60 for four cylinder thrillers. The weekend registration includes a pit pass for Saturday and Sunday. There is no other car/driver registration fee.

What about if you just wanted to go into the pits without being affiliated with any car?

Will green flag laps only count? Any specific race details for the modified race that might be different than other weeks?

It's good to know what the winner get's paid for winning, but 20 cars can't win the race. How about the rest of the payouts????????
