Pretty decent race, freeeezing, but overall nice job at a classic race track. They fly at Oswego. Matt had 'em covered. Several good cars dropped early or didn't start (Beers, etc.). Heard power plant issues as TCH confirmed.
Thought the car count might be higher with WMT running on Thursday night. Any comments on whether it was NASCAR, purse, fuel prices, busy weekend?
WMT ran Friday night with a regular Stafford show.
I also thought some more WMT teams would be at RoC and TVMRS. RoC actually had a 4 WMT drivers. Matt Hirschman, Ronnie Silk, Ryan Preece, and Rowan Pennink all made RoC. TVMRS series had none, which I thought Christopher would at least show up.
Fuel and expense to go to Oswego from the northeast may have been the reason. That's a loooong drive, at least for me!!!
The car count for the ROC (35) at Oswego was excellent. The car count at the TVMRS race at Thunder Road was about the same as it has been for the first 3 races (Small Purse) of 2008. $1,300 to win and a total purse of $13,775.
