Using transponders is ok if you are counting caution laps, but as anyone who was at Star knows, the caution laps where not counted to keep cars making pit stops from going a lap down. With all the yellows, anyone finishing on the lead lap actually ran a lot more that the 125 laps shown at the top of this thread.
About 6 hrs to run a card where the main event is 125 laps and 28 cars attempted to qualify - I guess some people would try to say that's not excessive.
