Ed, I'm with you, the new date doesn't make a ton of sense either. The thing that gets my goat is they changed the date due to the country show according to track. Well, the country show was scheduled a year ago. They ran the same country rodeo show last summer too. They new exactly what had to be done in terms of getting setup. They thought Star would back off and change their Tri Track date. As soon Star announced the 125 date, Lee and MRS changed their date. Feather in the cap for Star and Tri Track in my humble opinion.
MRS also dropped the Wiscasset date which was never firm anyway. Star also picked up the mini stock tour event that Waterford "dumped" recently.

26 cars will qualify for each of the Tri Track Open Modified Series races. If we add a 27th car to the field, it will be past winner provisional or ( new this year) one of the teams who showed up to all four races last year. Top guy on the list has dibs on the provisional and if used, he would then drop to the bottom of the list. If you do not show up for a race, you will be dropped to the bottom of the list, and cars that were at the race will be moved up the list.

As I continue to update the entry list a few posts up from this one, nothing makes me happier than to announce Bob Horn is feeling a lot better and will once again have a car on the Tri Track series, with Ronnie Silk once again at the wheel.

Hey guys, according to front page of message board, the Chrome Horn will be shutting down soon. Very sad news indeed. Will Tri Track move updates to FB???
Change of plans - we will be here a bit longer.... Richie

We already are on facebook....But the chromehorn/ mod series scene is where I got my start ... A great place to share information and find it easily.

Very proud to have Sherwood Racing Products back with the Tri Track Open Modified Series in 2018. At each race, two wheels will be given away to 2 teams that are pre registered for the entire 4 race series. One wheel will go to the car that is our "Hard Charger" and leads the most laps in the feature race. The other wheel will go to our "Hard Luck" team - as chosen by Jim Schaefer ( usually this is chosen after the heats/ consis and goes to a team that doesn't qualify for the feature)

If you are racing at the first Tri Track race at Claremont Speedway, you can call to pre order tires any time after May 1.
