Keep looking to the right, it like finding the holy grail (Knights who say "Nee" joke added here!)
Nice find, J.D. Bugsy Stevens and Geoffrey Bodine were having a good battle for the lead, but Richie Evans was coming. Hope the finish gets posted soon. Thanks.
hat was great, thanks for posting it it.
That was a few years before I ever got to a race there but it brough back memories of those trips from LI sitting on the Cross Bronx.
The cool fall days , the street stock race before, the mod race, the 30,000+ fans and walking throgh the pits after the race.
Who's got a time machine?
Thanks for posting
I have a question about this one. Is it a Spring or Summer race, since the Mods didn't go to Pocono for the Roc until they were all Pinto, Vega or Gremlin bodied cars?
Hey WJ, I was thinking the same thing....
I was just curious. I went up to a "scheduled" Spring race there in the early 80's, but it got rained out, and was never rescheduled. And none were ever scheduled after that ever again.
That had to be one of the early 70's 150 lappers. If you recall the yellow #09 that was Bryan Osgood from upstate N.Y. He won two of those early Pocono races. IIRC, they were mid summer races. Great video!
W. J. May 1983 rings a bell ps look in that little book T BAX I believe the Reg in the Miller 44 took home top honors.
