I saw those trophies on EBAY a year or so ago. I bid on them but they went pretty high. He was the owner of the 223 Non-Ford, Liberty Auto Wrecking car driven by George Cousins .

I got on the tail end of Sal Franzese's trophies auction. You didn't bid on Trophy #1 or Trophy #2, I got these trophies on "Buy It Now" auction @ $125 dollars each plus postage and handling, plus money order service fee = to a total of about $140 dollars each. Which is a lot of money, but I think they was well worth it!!! They were the last (2) trophies that was offered. They were in better condition than the ones you bid on Trophy #3 and Trophy #4.
I'm not the person nor know of the person's real name, whom bid against you on the Sal Franzese's trophies auction. You might know this person real name and by the way he was using auction buying all the (Old and New trophies), (trophies made of paper, glass, metal, or wood), (trophies pertaining to auto racing, horse racing, baseball, soccer, basketball, football, bowling and any other trophies you can think of ??? Like you, I bid against this man on other trophies and lost by seconds and minutes after auction closed and thought hey I got the trophy and find out later after aucton, that he would be the winner everytime!!! I started thinking that this person is hogging, stealing, cheating, and robbing by using illegal computer software and setting it up to win all the auction items he wanted. He used bidding of the auction as a game ??? I figure that he had gotten at least $100,000 dollars in trophies. But he wouldn't used the "Buy It Now" !!! This #1 reason I used "Buy It Now" against him and WON!!!

Please Answer This Question: Was he a Trophy Nut? Did he have a Trophy Museum or what was the deal with this person?? Was he selling these 1950's era trophies to other countries like Japan, because they like to buy the American Rock and Roll 50's items. Today at the auction, I did noticed he has slow up alot on buying trophies like he did (2 or 3) years ago.
