    John Cozza Update

Hi all, I just wanted to update all of you about John. Although it was only a week ago since John became ill, it seems like months. John was released from the hospital Monday afternoon. On Thursday we followed up with an appt. at my Cardiology group. John's Dr. agreed with the hospital that the reason for this episode with an extremely elevated heartrate of 250 is due to an extra electrical pathway in his heart. You are born with this but you may not know it until something like this occurs. The hospital told John he could be on meds with dietary restrictions the rest of his life. This cardiologist immediately recommended a surgical procedure. So we have appts. for an echocardiogram, a nuclear stress test, and a consultation with the specialist. Unfortunately these appts. are from the middle of Oct. to the end. My concern is that he still is experiencing chest pain. Hopefully the medication will keep everything in check. I once again would like to thank EVERYONE for their support. Whether you called, emailed, posted, sent cards, or visited our home or the hospital we thank you. I would also like to thank track personnel for their help, especially the ambulance staff. You will never know how much your support means to me. (John and Em too) I will keep you updated as to what is happening.
    Thanks,
    Janet Cozza

    Mountain ?

John, how does it look for Mountain? Obviously your health comes first, but will you race in October or November?

John, I'd love nothing more than to see you on the race track, but health and family is more important than any championship or plastic trophy.
