Referring to the artical mentioned above, I have no idea what Wall Township Speedway the Writer is referring to, but the one I go to is a 1/3 mile high banked oval. He seemed to really center on 12.5 miles of racing saying they would not pay for 13 miles. Well when I do the math it comes to 16.67 miles. Thats even more than his 13. He also did not include the 2 long heat races they will run instead of time trials. They are trying to make the show more interesting for the fans. Who is this writer to knock something new. To compare the entire Modified tour to 1 race at Darlington is ridiculous. I dismiss the writers comments as uninformed as he couldn't even get the facts correct. To me the Tour is trying new things to keep interest generated in it. I for one applaud the effort. Long live the Whelen Modified Tour!!

I agree there. He even runs around the multiple races at certain tracks some type of a problem. Not sure how long he has been watching but it has been that way as long as I can remember, and I do know he has followed for some time. Also words it so that you think there are only 2 other tracks besides these as the 'flash' races, I guess, don't count toward tracks. Read around what he says, he is a good writer and that's what good writers do, make something big with something small. And as I said, he does it well. Also, why did NASACR take the SMART tour and make the WSMT if they were to drop it all. Waste of money and NASCAR is $$$$ driven. Also note, this whole story is a blog NOT an actual story.

JA I can pass up a racing practice. Between work and Emma, I don't have but 5 minutes to myself. I have missed family events to go to see racing...not to mention the stunt I pulled in July when I had Emma, and only 48 hours had passed since I was released (did I mention I was released a day early) from the hospital did I hobble into the grandstands at MVS....

Shawn Courchesne's point about Darlington is a valid one I think. NASCAR
seems to be forgetting how it got so big. Not just in the Mods but the whole
deal. You guys aren't counting the heat races as advertised race laps are you? I'm not yet sure what a Flash race is but a TVMS or ROC 100 lapper doesn't include the heats. I thought that was understood. Shawn's opinion
about the current Tour may or may not be valid but he does stop and make us all think. It is my opinion if NASCAR really carred about the Modifieds the
ROC or the TVMS wouldn't even exist. There is a market for all 3 for a reason.
the ROC rules!! / Pacin ain't Racin
" honey!! I can't sleep, turn on the CUP race will ya?"
