    Thompson Icebreaker photos from Saturday

I've put some shots from Saturday up in the gallery, including a couple shots of the accident that involved Reggie and a shot of all the cars that were there. You old timers will be surprised to see that "Old Blue" is mostly white.

Thanks Howie...great recap of the day for those of us that could not make the trip on Sat. I like the fish-eye lens shots too...nothin' wrong with blending a little art in with some great shots of the cars we love so much!

I agree Modtourman. The shots of the #13 Bear car make it look like an egg!

Hey Axel, that's a VW beetle body!!! LOL
And if all goes well next weekend, expect 3 photographers, so there will be a HUGE amount of pictures for all.

Howie, THIS old-timer believes that the "white" Boehler car is a tribute to their 1974 Vega, which Fred DeSarro drove to victory at the Race of Champions at Trention. That car was white with yellow numbers .... plus a few other splotches and a little bit of rust. Good old Lenny!

I believe the Boehler family is using the paint schemes to celebrate their long history in racing ... and that white body sure had a lot of history! Besides Trenton, the white Vega was in victory lane at Thompson and Seekonk, if I'm not mistaken.

Fitch, thanks for the memory jog. Even though a white "Old Blue" didn't seem right, it kind of looked familiar, I think you hit the nail on the head. I do remember that car, I can't find a photo of it though.

Seeing the the white #3 really hit me hard. I was at Trenton in 74 and when I saw the white #3 on the track all I could see was the Late Great Fred DeSarro behind the wheel again. I sure do miss the Dynamic Duo.

On the #3, the pictures are small but it has written "Fifty Years" on each side of the number.
