There was a meeting about this on Monday May 14th at Riverhead Raceway. We had a discussion with the club members about the short track. There were issues discussed about the short track and until they are fixed we will be racing on the big track for the next 3 races. Thank you

It looks like I wasted some money on go karts, all because people would rather drive around on the big track and can't handle the small one.

The big track is like a Sunday drive, it's not racing. Those people that are pansie's about the small track, SUCK IT UP. Short track racing is the best, and until we race it under racing conditions, then how can you knock it?

We've raced it once, and I believe everyone in the Lite division had nothing bad to say about the short track, and that was the most exciting race that day from what I've heard. I was in it and I've never had so much fun racing before, so I think they should run everyone else on the big track, and run lite on the short RACETRACK.

No complaints from us, senior champ. My son liked it. A little rough, but he liked it.

I thought the plan was to run every other race small track....large track. Why wouldn't anyone want this for their kids racing. It brings so much more exprience to the driver that is learning. Even veterans learn every season.

I'd like to do more racing on the small track. I didn't think it was bad at all.

The first problem is getting the help needed to set up the track with the tires.
The second problem is the small track is too rough. (bumpy). This was the concensus at the meeting. The majority of the teams want to run the big track but it is labor intensive to prepare it. The idea of the smaller track was to make the work of setting the track up and taking it down easier. The Kart count was down while running the small track. So it was decided to run the big track, keep the Kart count up and WE ALL have to do more work setting the tires up. That's it! We will run any track.. Lets go!

Well the set up of the small track will take maybe HALF the time of the set up as the big track. And about the kart count, the LITE class hasn't had that many go karts in two years, and STILL, with people going out and buying go karts to run the lite class. So if the whole lite class wants to run it, LETS DO IT! If we continue to run the big track, I won't be there. I want to RACE, not drive around. Everyone who grew up running on the big track is SPOILED and doesn't know what real racing is all about. A few little bumps are going to stop people from racing, that's ridiculous? Grow up and let's go RACE.

Hey Kev, I bet we can get people to help us set up the real race track.
