I will be getting Ernie's car back from the body shop the middle of next week now the next step is nerf bars and bumpers.
and lettering. I need to get in touch with Sonny Seamen, he offered to do the lettering, So if anyone has his number please forward it to me.

as soon as you get it, take some photos for us!!! I'm excited about the progress. The history of Long Island racing is so important. Many of the racers and fans know nothing about early history of racing and what a huge part Long Island took in it! Vanderbilt raced in the early days of Daytona before Nascar was even down there. The vanderbilt Cup with the ealry open roadster indy style cars. We have neglected the history of other forums of racing and wish we could get more info in such tracks as National, Bridgehampton,west hampton...... etc. There's so much and so much has not even been indented. I know some guys came out for old timers day who reps. Vanderbilt and Bridgehampton, why not get other forms involved.

Enginboy, that was a great restoration job. The car looks exactly as I remember it, and is a great tribute to Ernie Maynor, and to all off you who restored it to it's greatness.
