    S.A.F.E.R Picnic - Sunday August 5

The SAFER picnic will be held on Sunday, Aug. 5 at Southaven Park. The cost is $10.00 per person, kids under 16 free. The cost includes food, drinks and plenty of fun. The menu for the day includes hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, sausage, salads, corn on the cob, watermelon and plenty of beer and soda.

All divisions are welcome to come. This would be a great day for drivers, owners and crews to get together with their families to have a Family Day.

We have games with prizes for the kids and a pinata filled with candy. There is also a Softball game for everyone and an egg tossing contest for the adults.

If anyone would like more information or tickets, you can see Kathy Kraft or email krftracing9@aol.com. You can also track down Joe Saraceno.

    Wink Potato Sack Race

I'd like to see Kraft and my dad in that race, it would be really funny. They might need 2 sacks together, though, ha ha!

I'd probably need a longer tape for my camcorder. Leah as I read what you said I thought of the O'Rourke go-kart, lol. I don't know if you remember it and I have a way lately of asking people if they remember something even though it happened before they were born, but this go-kart was close to as wide as a car, lol.

Oh yeah, Rick, that go-kart was certainly special. I believe originally designed as a 2 seater, and I have seen them for sale occasionally over the years, and that always reminds me of Big Bob's ride. Pretty special, but not very fast.
