Your Prediction on who wins the 2007 WMT Championship?

With the upcoming race at Riverhead marking the 1/2 way point in the season, who are your predictions to be 2007 Whelen Modified Tour Champion. Please also discuss the reasons why you voted the way you did.

I picked Jamie Tomaino. He was getting on a roll until NHIS and then was looking like a top 3 car at the ASA race last sunday at Franklin County until problems. He has some fresh engines with more horsepower for the end of the season, and, since this may be his last full season on the tour since he is moving to NC, I think he has something to prove before he's done.

I picked Todd Szegedy. He has been very consistent this year and is right in the thick of things.

I must also confess that I am a big fan of anything FORD, so that probably colors my vote a bit.
Pork Roll is very important to me. Please respect that.

I gotta go with Long Island boy Donny Lia. Team Mystic Missile has been nothing short of Brilliant this year. They clicked right out of the box, and what happens if they are better the 2nd half of the year. Ok, I'm on record.

My pre-season pick was John Blewett III - I had assumed they would come out of the gate quickly and decide to run the entire Tour schedule. I now believe that Donnie Lia will hold his point lead and take the 2007 crown. The team has really gelled and I think they should be able to keep the good finishes going all year. Loving Modified history as I do, I would also love seeing the Garbarino Mystic Missile take a Championship!
