    S.a.f.e.r. Block Party

I found a dunk tank for $160.00 for the S.A.F.E.R. block party.
Now we need to set a date. See about making this into carnival, craft fair, fund raiser. Ideas ??
Anyone have any connections with the carnival people ?

I would be more than happy to be the guy in the dunk tank, but where is this going to take place?

    Smile The carnival

Well, we are trying to do this a full weekend right? I found 1 for 260 for the weekend. Do we have a couple of volunteers for the dunk tank? I've already volunteered TK ha ha! Trying to have rides, face painting, games, etc.

Hey, maybe we can have a few drivers give rides in their cars or something for little kids.

We are trying to get 4 Seasons to let us use their parking lot.

Is this event in addition to the S.A.F.E.R Picnic?

This was talked about at the last meeting, there is no date set. The picnic is 8-5. We are in the planning stage on this one. Just thought if it was talked about on the Jam, then maybe people will follow through and make it happen.

Yes, Joe this is in addition to the picnic. The S.A.F.E.R. picnic is August 5th, my B-day, not the 6th. Maybe Artie has plans on staying over night, everyone knows SAFER Never runs out of Beer, Yes even when Kenny is there.

Very true. The keg is always the very last thing to get packed up.

    A lot of work

Planning a block party is a great idea, but once you start bringing in rides and things like that then you fall into insurance problems. We have TGIF in our complex where our cars are and they have a dunk tank and we also know of someone who has a party rental place and has all sorts of inflatables that could be used, but once you go beyond that, it gets a little expensive. Once you have more details, such as date, time, and location, I can help a little further.

    Wink Help!

We are waiting on a response from 4 Seasons to see if they let us use there parking lot for the carnival. If not, we'll have to find something else. I just hope we could get this thing together, it would be fun.

    Always plenty of beer. ABSOLUTELY.

I remember many years ago, two drivers leaning on each other's head, balancing beers in their hands. One mother told their daughter, it's time to go. The little girl said, "Mommy, it's not over. Mark and Kenny still have beer."

What fun we had and continue to have at the S.A.F.E.R. picnic. A day to put all BS aside and have fun with friends and family.
