Blunderbusts @ Mountain Speedway on 10/7

All Riverhead Blunderbusts are invited to Mountain Speedway in the scenic Pocono foothills of Pennsylvania, on Sunday afternoon, October 7, as part of our "pack the track" race program. Blunderbusts will run with the Thriller division in a 30 lap feature event, plus qualifying heats. This will be a non-points event, as our points season ends the weekend before, at our 8th Annual "King Of The Mountain" weekend.

Blunderbusts will run under Riverhead rules/tires, with the following exceptions:
-Must weigh minimum 3100 lbs, under 360 c.i., after race, with driver.
-Must weigh minimum 3400 lbs, over 360 c.i., after race, with driver.
    -Maximum 56% Left Side Weight.
    -Must maintain 4-inch frame height
    -No rear gear rule.
-It is recommended that ALL BOLT IN Ballast-be removed.

I realize many of you will still be on the "heavy" side, But the rules are just guidelines. Come out and enjoy a scenic fall day in the Poconos, And grasp the opportunity to run the "lead sleds" on a different track.

For more info, check out www.mountainspeedway.com, or call the speedway office at (570)384-3215.

I've never been to Mountain, but this sounds interesting. What type of set ups are people running?? What type gear is recommended, especially if we leave the weight in?

    Hi Vicki,

They would be running with the Thriller cars, so as long as they fit either rules,...sure.
Does this mean we may see the "McDonald" mobile???
Don't forget to stop at the drive-thru...and pick up a meal, for the ride.
and make sure you bring that non drivin'...you know what, with you.

    Hey Vick
Do you need another driver? He might go back just once cause he loves the track. I would break my promise never to go back (maybe). We used to have a lot of fun. One time for old times sake????

It all depends on the gearing and how much work is involved. If it is too much work then no, but if we can pull it off, I would like to give it a shot as long as we would be competitive with that class. I will see you Saturday.

PS Scott Lehman I need a way to contact you

    Weezer,
Although front hoops are recommended, they are not required.
You should have a fuel cell in the trunk area, with some protection behind it.
Hope you can make the trip.
