Best Appearing... Mr. & Mrs. Meyer
The award for the Best Appearing newlyweds goes to Mr. & Mrs. Wayne Meyer. Crowds of people showed up to witness the nuptials and participate in the festivities......As is the custom in the racing community Wayne was awarded the official checkered flag, given to him by Bub Turbush. Among the crowd were many notables in the racing community....Frank Curtis was on hand to proudly walk his beautiful daughter down the aisle. Tech inspectors Robin & Elaine Vollmoeller were on hand to make sure the ceremony was completed legally and with no unapproved parts. Moments after the I Do's were said Jamie announced that Wayne, (now being a married man) was no longer allowed to race and must stay home with the kids while she pursues her career in 6 cylinder Nextel Cup enduros, her goal being to unseat the absent defending points champion Shawn Wanat. Blunderbust ROTY Donny "Boom Boom" Oliver offered to drive the couple to their honeymoon suite, but Wayne declined since he was afraid to go that fast. All joking aside, We are very happy and proud to welcome Wayne to our family and we wish them all the love and happiness in the world.
