True Value Modified Racing Series Season Finale Set For Lee Usa Speedway Oktoberfest

The True Value Modified Racing Series will conclude the 2007 season with a 100-lap event on Sunday, Oct. 21 during the 22nd Annual Oktoberfest at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, N.H. Kirk Alexander of Swanzey, N.H., the newly crowned series champion, is looking forward to returning to Lee.

“I really enjoy racing at Lee,” said Alexander. “It’s a challenging track and there is a lot of room to race. The key to racing at Lee is conserving your tires.”

Alexander clinched the third True Value Modified Racing Championship of his career with a second place finish at Seekonk, Mass. on Oct 7th. He will travel to Lee hoping to win the final race of the year.

“It takes a lot of the pressure off,” said Alexander. “We can really concentrate on winning the race now that we have the championship won.”

The championship was the goal for the season.

“Last year I missed a few races and was unable to run for the championship,” said Alexander. “I wanted to get the title back, it was a goal from the start of the season. I really enjoy racing on this series. The competition is very tough.”

Alexander acknowledges the help of Alexander Sheet Metal, Gary’s Power Equipment and JGS Construction in securing his third championship.

“Without the help of my sponsors and the hard work of my crew I wouldn’t be able to do this.” said Alexander.

Alexander will have plenty of quality drivers to compete with at Lee as all the stars of the True Value Modified Racing Series are scheduled to be there. Qualifying for the 100-lap event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 20.

Les Hinckley has wrapped up the runner up position in the championship standings but only 35 points separate third place Dwight Jarvis, fourth place Louie Mechalides and fifth place Vinnie Annarummo

Hinckley is the defending champion of this event.
