    Schedule?

I just read the schedule and it says we have 4 Double Point races, and there are 2 of them that are back to back. Is that an error or a disaster in the making?

Chris, I double-checked the schedule that was distributed last night. It does, in fact, show 30 lap double point Blunderbust races on May 17, May 31, August 2 and August 16. I will address your question to the track, as I know it is not common for a division to have more than three double point races. I will let you know the outcome.

I believe NASCAR rules only allows 3 double point races. Unless that has changed, I would think the 4 on the schedule are a typo.
"A View from theCrossroads" available at www.pkbooksinc.com, www.amazon.com and www.barnesandnoble.com. Look for "A View from the Crossroads" due out in August.

Could they have 30 lap race that is not double points?

The last BB race in Sept. is a 30 lap race with single points. The schedule that was given out at the banquet actually showed 4 races that are 30 lap double point events. I am looking into this. As soon as I have an official answer, I will pass it along.

    Schedule Adjustment

According to the response I received from Bob Finan, the May 31st double point Blunderbust race has been dropped. Now, I am already a step ahead of you, as I am awaiting clarification on whether that means that the division will run a single point 20 lap race, or whether they will be off. I will let you know. Keep in mind that the schedule that was released Saturday is "subject to change," and there may be adjustments made. The season is still a long way off.
I will make the necessary change to the posted schedule tonight. Thanks for your patience.

Per Bob Finan's "Eye on Riverhead," May 31st is a 20 lap single point race for the Blunderbust division.
