    Vintage Video

For those who remember racing from the 50's I have found something that will put a huge smile on your face. It is a two minute video clip of racing from some legendary speed palaces. NASCAR GN from Trenton, USAC sprints from Reading, USAC dirt champ cars from Langhorne, and the Modified National Open from Langhorne - all from 1958! If you like it, you can buy the DVD and see all of it. Enjoy and Happy Thanksgiving! www.speedvids.com

I agree! Obviously, these were filmed by a professional, with the best equipment available at the time. Definitely 16mm! Not the 8mm cameras that most of us amatuers were using. And sound too! Truly amazing work for that era. The Modifieds at Langhorne were my favorite part!

Just finished watching it. It had come in the mail while I was in New York. Wow! A trip back 50 years in time.

That #24 that was in the accident was driven by Maryland ace Bobby Ballantine. Tough day for Charlie J.

It was Dover. I remember Charlie telling the story about it one night at Islip. When the car finally stopped rolling, he felt liquid running down on him as he hung inside the car, and very quickly realized it was gas, not water. He got the hell out of that car in a big hurry!
