    4cyl tires

Is there going to be a minimum tread depth rule?

There currently is no tread depth rule. Keep in mind, enduros run rain, snow, or shine, so a tire with little tread isn't going to work well in the rain and snow. Also, we are well aware of tire shaving and if we feel that a tread depth rule is necessary, we will impliment one.

So these ARE legal to run for the enduros?

    They ARE legal(DOT approved)........

If you mix them with street tires they seemed to work very well in the last enduro--on a sloppy wet track.

    14. D.O.T. passenger tire cars only.

    A. 60 series or higher mandatory. (60, 65, 70, etc.)

6/8 cyl. 225-60 max tire size.

4 cyl. 195-60 max tire size

Here are the rules and from the website you listed they do not list the sizes as indicated in the rules so I would say no. My question is why would someone pay over $200 a tire to run an enduro?

There are slick type tires available like the ones I linked that are DOT approved in the legal sizes listed in the rules.....

    Tires

Those tires listed will not be allowed. They are made for racing and even say NOT FOR HIGHWAY USE. If you want to push the issue about D.O.T. tires, read the last sentence at the end of the rules. Last year we had a car show up with DOT HOOSIERS (with Wall stamp) and he was not allowed to use them.
