Love the photos also Dan in the coupe, orange #12! Awesome, also it's noted he races late models, but as we all know he still slings a modified!
Thanks for the memories. I can recall a race one night while I was still dating my wife. That would put it between 1969-1972. It was at Islip and it was a battle between Charlie J and Billy Spade. They must have run door handle to door handle for I'd say, 10 laps at least. I believe Charlie won that one.
Is there anyone that can collaborate this for me? It is this one of the greatest bull ring battles I have ever witnessed.
That is George Brunnhoelzl Sr. with the blue and yellow #1 coupe. Also, Fred Harbach, if I am not mistaken, passed the very winter after he won his last feature and the title. He was 58 years old and had raced since 1957.
And, of course, that's Gene Suizdak in The ChevyII! I talked with him at Riverhead on oldtimers day....back when they had oldtimers day! And Richie Gomes in the X27 Mustang, but I liked the coupe, that's why I bought it.

That's strange. I use IE 7 and when a pop up wants to pop up, the warning comes above and you can bypass it. There is no button for larger or full size and no pop up warning comes up so it means there are no pop ups and I can't get images bigger than roughly 264 x173 px myself. Doesn't bother me as they are all good photos at any size.....
BTW: I think it's because non-members don't get full size options......
