    Peter, all 3 of the Island Dragstrips are on that video. The first few seconds are none other then Islip Speedway's dragstip. West Hampton and National Speedway. We had that clip on another forum I frequate. I'm surprised I didn''t forward it to you. Islip was a 1/5 mile, might have been an 1/8. The midway was part of the strip. I ran it a couple of times in 1969/70.

    Islip was 1/8th of a mile.

    NY National was an AHRA sanctioned drag strip and hosted at least one of their national events per year. It was also the site of the first six second Funny Car pass By Leroy Goldstein in the Ramchargers flopper (6/20/70).
    Englishtown has been NHRA sanctioned for I think its entire existance. What was the Summernationals (usually the second weekend in July, just before the "western swing") has been moved around for a myraid of reasons and is now the third weekend in June.
