Exclamation *REMINDER* One-way scanners for 3/15 Enduro

Don't forget...we will be utilizing the one-way scanner system for all enduro events, beginning with the March 15th race.
If you haven't already done so, you will need to have a scanner with earphones, so you can monitor the race director calls.
Scanner must be capable of picking up the track frequency which is 154.600

This will be MANDATORY for the remainder of the season. (starting May 18)

It don't matter if they're booing or cheering, as long as they're making noise!

    Did I miss something?

What happened to it being mandatory for the start of 2009?

    Yea, STU

    You missed the boat.
I want you to be safe out there...and since some drivers don't see the red lights and flags, we'll use the scanners too.

Try Radio Shack or call Rich the Radio man(Speedway Communications) at (610)739-5070.
Or, just google search hand held or portable scanner on the internet. Make sure it is capable of receiving the 154.600 frequency.

Can anyone help STU out?...if you find a good deal, post the info/link.

Any programmable scanner will work. Back in the day I got mine from Ebay for around $15 (only 10 channel). Still have it today.

    Try:

    Ralph,
Yes...you should have a scanner for the March 15th enduro. Doesn't necessarily have to be your own. If you know someone racing in a different division, you might be able to borrow theirs.

    Ralph-

I will probably forget before hand, but as the race gets closer, send me an email. You can use mine.
