Ah, yes, that's what it would look like if there were that many available big, old cars around. But they are gone, and what's left is way more expensive than what most would spend on something they're going to wreck, so we have today's car counts.
Maybe we need to think of having an SUV or Mini-van demo derby. There are plenty of those to go around....

i have the '83 championship down in nastalgia. let me know if you have a problem getting the videos on the pc. i know its hard when they,re on vhs. i had to record these ones off the tv with my digital camera and then clean them up on my computer. again, let me know if you need my help.

Hey killa, try VHS to DVD recorder to transfer to digital, it might be easier. If you don't have one, I'm sure asking around amongst your friends you'll find someone who will let you use theirs.

im not to computer savy. i always have trouble getting the info off the dvd and on to my pc. maybe i dont have the proper programs, who knows (not me for sure). but thanx for the advice. i dont mind anyways, i have fun doing it. the rest of the family hates me for about a 1/2 hour, when im recording its quiet time.

Instead of cash for clunkers, it should have been cash for Demo Derby and Enduro cars!!!

Used to be you could count on at least a dozen. Plus guaranteed starters from other derby's / tracks. That clunkers program took a lot of cars out of the mix locally.

WJ I remember years back some jersey boys came up and did really well, especially pyscho steve and up until last year all those new englanders came down, the wha hoo imperial and what not, plus mack, even though he's from the island, so I guess a lot would be five to six out of staters but in my dream world 12 would show up and then there would be a 20 car full size demo!!!

Also, the video of islips demo from back in the day was awesome!!!
