    World Series Schedule?

For those of us traveling to Thompson on Saturday, what is the best guess at the World Series schedule given the weather forecast? I'm thinking that Friday's on-track activities will be completed as scheduled and Saturday's activities will be postponed to Sunday.

This will make for a long day on Sunday -- although the show can be shortened a bit by using a random draw for feature starting position in some of the classes that were scheduled to have their heats on Saturday.
Racing is the only circus where the clowns pay to put on the show.

I thought that I posted something in the other thread about the schedule early this morning. Without looking at TIS website I think it says rain date(s) is will be (Oct. 30-31 - Nov. 1) or something like that.

Listening to the local weather there may be a period tomorrow afternoon to work with. Heavy rain is forecast for Saturday evening and night.

which makes me ask...if we can run a tour race in one day, why is it a two day event in the first place?

Do that many people (fans) show up the day before Sat. to make it worth while for track to be open ie. (overhead costs, staffing, etc..)?

The tour should be a one day event to cut costs seeing that the purse is not increasing. Have the tour be the first group of cars on the track for practice. Run the other divisions for there qualifying. Then the tour has there time trials. Everyone else has there feature and then the tour runs there feature at the end.

But can you do that in one day when you have 15 divisions?

Personally I hate two day shows and hardly ever go up for the Saturday stuff.

When the weather is good there are plenty of people there on both days, more on Sunday for the Supers and the Mods. I just thankful that TIS still supports the WMT and wouldn't attempt to tell them how to run their business.
