NASCAR WHELEN SOUTHERN MODIFIED TOUR OWNER PENALIZED FOR RULES VIOLATIONS AT SOUTH BOSTON SPEEDWAY
NASCAR announced today the car No. 44 team that competes in the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour has been penalized as a result of rules violations committed Saturday, April 3 at South Boston (Va.) Speedway.
The No. 44 team was found to be in violation of Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing); and 9-15(V) (crew members must not go on the race track for any reason while the cars are racing or while the cars are running under the yellow flag) of the 2010 NASCAR rule book. The violations were during the race on April 3.
Bryan Fishel, car owner of car No. 44, has been placed on NASCAR probation for the next three NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour events, and placed on NASCAR probation until Aug. 25, 2010.
